Roulette with a twist
Lightning Roulette is a live European roulette game from Evolution. The wheel has a single zero and numbers 1 to 36, exactly as in a classic table.
The difference is visual and financial. Each spin, one to five numbers are struck by "lightning" and given a random multiplier before the ball settles.
What happens during a spin
You place chips on the digital betting board while the timer runs. Every standard roulette bet is available, from a single number to red, black, odd, even, dozens and columns.
When bets close, the lightning effect hits the board. The chosen lucky numbers glow and display their multipliers. The dealer then releases the ball.
If the ball lands on a lightning number and you backed it straight up, your payout uses that multiplier. If it lands on a number without lightning, a straight-up bet pays 29:1 rather than the classic 35:1.
Payouts for other bets
Outside and inside bets besides straight-up keep their normal roulette payouts. A winning red bet still pays 1:1, and a dozen still pays 2:1. Features can vary by version, so check the paytable in the game.
Evolution lists this game's RTP at 97.30%, though an operator's build can be set differently.
Do not chase the multipliers
Scattering straight-up bets across many numbers can feel like buying lots of lightning tickets. It raises your cost per spin without changing the odds.
A calmer approach is to decide a flat stake per spin and stick to it. If you lose three sessions in a row, take a day off instead of doubling stakes to "win it back".

FAQ
Lightning Roulette FAQ
Why does a straight-up win pay 29:1 in Lightning Roulette?
The standard 35:1 straight-up payout is reduced to 29:1 so the game can fund the multipliers that land on lightning numbers. If your number is struck by lightning, it pays the multiplier instead. Outside bets like red or black pay as usual.
Do lightning multipliers apply to red, black or dozen bets?
No. In the standard version, multipliers apply only to straight-up bets on a single number. Split, street, dozen, column and even-money bets are paid at normal roulette rates, even if a lightning number wins.
What is the RTP of Lightning Roulette?
Evolution lists the RTP for Lightning Roulette as 97.30%. That is the provider's default figure, and an operator's build can be configured differently. You can confirm the value in the game's help section before playing.
